1961 Lindberg Drag Strip Racing Set in Original Box
Early triple auto racer plastic model set with rubber band motors designed to "race" against one another. Includes Mercedes 300 SL, MGA Mark II, and Jaguar XK140. Cars were snapped together but never used. Decals never applied. Instructions complete and intact. Drag strip items are still attached to the sprue. Each racer still has its original rubber band (although I'd hesitate to use them after 56 years). The cars are neat, but probably the best thing about this toy is it's full color, full panel illustrated box. It shows the vehicles all lined up and ready to go. Fans look on in adoration! And above them all are shown Mom, Dad, and Son drag racing. Size: Box 20" x 8" x 2". Cars: 5¼". Sold: Sep. 2017
